Crafts, Crafts and More Crafts

Oh, the things you'll do to occupy your time when you're on bed rest! I guess I could be taking an online course or reading something educational. Instead, I have been spending countless hours on my craft projects. Some of these projects include: A homemade turtle stamp (don't ask me why, or what I'm going to do with it), a bouquet of tissue paper flowers, and decorating the envelopes to my birth announcements.

Smurf Hats

For big boy smurfs

In my many hours of free time I taught myself how to knit a hat. Surprisingly it really wasn't that hard. Pierce noticed my new project and promptly stated "I want a smurf hat"! Chad took him to the craft store and he picked out his own yarn. I think it turned out pretty cute! Do you think I can convince Chad to wear one?

Preggosaurus

Here I am at 33 weeks. Believe it or not, I feel even bigger than I look. I hope I'm having a 20 pound baby, otherwise I'm in trouble! We are getting very excited and have been getting the house ready (well, Chad is getting the house ready and I am bossing him around, he secretly loves it, I can tell by the dirty looks).

Slide

Just a short video from the party.

"Old McDonalds"

You gotta love a birthday party with 10 three year olds. The best part was that it wasn't at my house! Pierce had his 3rd birthday party at McDonalds this weekend (or, Old McDonalds if you ask Pierce). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be there but Chad videotaped most of it for me. Let me tell you, it was a rip roaring time. I always vowed to never let my child eat McDonalds, let alone have a birthday party there, but it was the best party we ever had! The kids had a great time, they got to run around all they wanted, it was super cheap, easy to organize (one 5 minute phone call) and did I mention that it WASN'T at my house! Pierce woke up the next morning asking if he could go back to his party at Old McDonalds. I guess sometimes you just have to let go of your ideals. There's always next year for the all organic birthday cake and carefully planned, parent guided craft session.

Snow Angels

Pierce had a great time with Grandma while she was visiting. They did lots of fun things together, but this is my favorite. I think it was about 5 degrees this day, and they decided to make snow angels in the back yard. I was leaning out of my bedroom window to get these pictures. Grandma is all decked out in Chad's snow gear, and Pierce could hardly walk he was so bundled up. I think the first picture kind of looks like a snow rescue situation. Prepare the body board.

New Fish

We have a new addition to our house, 3 fish! Pierce received a fish tank as a gift from Oma, and as you can see he has been very interested in taking care of his new pets. He has a blue beta fish which he named Pierce Octopus Fish and a black goldfish named Oma. Last weekend we brought home an orange goldfish and we aren't sure what it's name is yet. Sometimes it's Pierce and sometimes it's mommy. Pierce loves to stand in front of the fish and play his guitar while yelling, Dance Fishy DANCE!
