Expect these to get better with these over time so you may need to turn up the volume to hear Pierce on this one.

Visit With Santa

We had our first ever successful visit with Santa! After Chad, Oma and Pierce stood outside Santa's cabin in a line for an hour and a half in subzero temperatures, they finally got to see Santa. They met several nice people while waiting in line, and Pierce even made a little girlfriend. She tried to keep him warm with hugs and made sure his hat was on at all times. Pierce wasn't able to tell the Elf In Charge whether he had been naughty or nice, but he did sit nicely on Santa's lap and asked for a plane, a horn and a tuba:)
Pierce is getting very excited about Christmas. Everyday he asks me, "Mommy, is it Christmas time?" He understands a little bit about Christmas and Santa. He knows that Santa will be coming to his house, and there will be cookies and presents. But, the whole chimney thing still confuses him. He is convinced that he is going to be able to go up and down the chimney with Santa!

Bird Seed Project

This morning Pierce and Oma made some pine cone bird feeders with peanut butter and bird seed. It was the perfect project for a hungry toddler with a short attention span. Of course, he had to taste his creation, bird seed and all!

Photo Shoot?

We thought it would be a great idea to do a photo shoot while Oma was in town. These are the best shots we got after two hours of torture. I guess we'll break down and spend the $10 at Portrait Innovations tomorrow and leave it to the pros!

Sunday Morning

Every Sunday morning Chad likes to make us a big breakfast. This week I requested blueberry pancakes. I even managed to waddle downstairs for the big event! They were delicious. Anyway, Pierce was very excited that I made it downstairs and even let me take a couple of pictures and videos. I thought you might enjoy them.

In the spirit of Christmas I thought it would be fun to include a Christmas Quiz that my friend Sandy sent to me. Here are my answers.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Definitely wrapping paper. It shows you made an effort.
2. Real tree or Artificial? I prefer real, but with a toddler we are using an artificial for convenience.
3. When do you put up the tree? Always the day after Thanksgiving.
4. When do you take the tree down? I want it down the day after Christmas.

My First Blog Ever!

Greetings Family and Friends!

This is my first blog entry ever and you can see how excited Pierce is about it! I'm just so proud that I was able to get this up and running. I have to admit that I borrowed some ideas from Erin since her blog is so cute. Anyway, I thought this would be a perfect time to start a blog for all our family and friends. Especially those who live out of state. I am currently 24 weeks (and 1 day) pregnant and on bed rest. I thought this would be something productive I could do while laying in bed wearing pajamas all day. The plan is to post regular updates, pictures and videos. I hope everyone enjoys!
