First Haircut (and lollipop)

Chad finally broke me down (kind of). He convinced me that Asher needed his hair trimmed before our family photo this weekend. I will agree that the top was looking a little shaggy, but I was NOT willing to cut the curls! So I had his hair trimmed up a teency tiny bit. There wasn't even enough to save.
Asher even got his first lollipop out of the deal. He was in heaven!

Just don't touch the bangs lady!

And another thing...... If you think you're prying this lollipop out of my hand once we leave the barber's, you've got another thing coming mom.

Hah! I told you I would win. We're at the park and I STILL have my lollipop.

My First Apple Pie

Please Brother! Give me just one tiny taste!
Mmmmmm! You know it's good when you end up with frosting on your forehead.

It's prime apple picking time in Connecticut. I took Asher out for his first apple picking adventure this week. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of it because he was either riding in my backpack or attempting to eat rotten worm infested apples off the ground. He thought it was great fun, and we came home with 20 pounds of Cortland's.

It also just so happens that we picked up a book at the library. Amelia Bedelia's First Apple Pie. So of course, after the book and the apples, Pierce had to make his first apple pie. It turned out beautifully and he was so proud!

Trouble Monkey

This is outrage! There is a LEAF in my driveway!

OOOH the cuteness.

Love that smile.

The nude gardener.

See the big bruise on my head. It's almost a permanent fixture. I got this doozy from one of my many misadventures. I think it involved a broom.

Slingshot Airplane

Do you ever just get a fabulous idea? Well, Pierce invented the slingshot airplane this weekend. He had a plan and could not be deterred. He sat down with dad and created this fabulous slingshot airplane. Chad was given strict instructions as to the design. The thing flew pretty well, too. They even had to take it out to a field for a test, since Pierce was concerned that it might fly so far that it would get lost in the woods. We may have a budding engineer on our hands! But, the best part of the story by far..... this is a piece of elastic that was found hanging from his batman underpants. When Chad threw it away there was outrage. HOW COULD YOU THROW THAT AWAY! THAT'S FOR MY SLINGSHOT AIRPLANE!

Do You Know How To Vike?

You've got to love the $1 area at Target. We found this little gem on a recent shopping trip. After wearing his viking helmet all over town, Pierce tells me on the way home, "Mom, I don't know how to Vike". I told him that first you need a ship, and then you have to say "Orgy Borgy, I like meatballs". He took my advice to heart. When we got home he got on his scooter ship and sailed all around the driveway yelling ORGY BORGY I LIKE MEATBALLS! Oops.

The Business

We were recently lucky enough to product test a new toy called the Zibit. It is a pocket sized remote controlled robot that makes robot noises, moves and spins, and has light up eyes. Well, let me tell you folks, Pierce is in love. He carries his "exhibit" everywhere and makes sure it is safely placed on his dresser every night before bed. This little guy is so cute. I have to admit that even I have taken a shining to him. Pierce has named his new friend "The Business". As in, "Pierce, you can play with The Business after dinner". Yesterday I found him sitting with "The Business" on the couch, and quietly reassuring him. "Don't worry Business, I'll keep you in safety".

Toadally Awesome

We had a great time visiting Grandma and Grandpa Webster and Auntie Amanda, Uncle Matt and Cousin Colin in Illinois. We made the most of our time and were sure to do all the important stuff, like, Cousin Colin's fantabulous 1st birthday party. His favorite part was the pom pom birthday hat. Next, we.......
took plenty of bike rides with grandpa.......

did a little storm chasing.......

Nude goose riding of course.

We hit the swimming pool with grandma.

Asher had his first popsicle. This one was stolen from grandpa (I'm pretty sure he didn't mind).

Caught a toad and named him Froggo.

And, last but not least......took an ackward family photo.
I'm pretty sure we covered all our bases. Can't wait to do it again next year!
