My little guy is 5 months old today, and getting cuter by the minute! Check out these pictures I took with my zoom lens. I love the one of the foot with the chubby little thigh in the background!
Here's an update:

Favorite Past Times: Watching my big brother and playing with my feet
Favorite Time of Day: Getting a massage after bathtime

What Makes Me Giggle: When mommy zips up my pajamas, kisses on the belly
Oh, I wish I could hit the pause button!

British Soccer Camp

Pierce had a great time at British soccer camp (FYI, it's called British because the instructors are from the U.K.), and learned lots of new skills. There were only 3 kids in his class, so he got a lot of personal attention. They played lots of fun games, like the farmer and the fox, wipeout dude, clean your room and the sleeping giant. In case you are wondering what those games are, Pierce would be more than happy to explain them to you! Pierce definitely has more interest in soccer than he did in basketball (which was absolutely none). The coach was great with the kids, and he wrote each one an evaluation at the end of camp. It was a great program and we will definitely sign him up next year!

Bunny Naming Contest

We need help! There's a huge dilemma in our house. Asher has a particular fondness for his little stuffed bunny, but we can't agree on a good name for his little friend. Here are our ideas so far (in no particular order).
A. Bun Bun (stole that one from my nephew)
B. Snuffle Bunny (one of our favorite book characters)
C. Bob (from a children's song)
D. Any other ideas?
Please email/call us/post a comment on your favorite name and/or your own unique ideas. We will consider all entries!

The Chicken Whisperer

The chicken Whisperer hard at work.
Feeding the chickens from a safe distance.

Check out those eggs!

Should I throw it?
Our neighbors went on vacation this week and we got to take care of their chickens. Pierce had a great time feeding them bread (from a distance) and collecting the eggs in the morning. We really enjoyed all the fresh eggs, yum! Chad's job was to close the coop at night. If they weren't already in their house he had to wrangle them up. He certainly has a way with chickens. I like to call him the chicken whisperer.

Soccer Camp

Pierce starts his soccer camp this week. Can you believe that they actually require shin guards and cleats for 3 year olds? That seems a little crazy to me. Anyway, here are some pictures of Pierce practicing his moves in the backyard with dad. I particularly love the first picture. I think he looks a little like the Lord of the Dance.

Those Boys Love Camping in the Backyard

Pierce certainly doesn't take after me. He LOVES to camp in the backyard! Although, I think it is the popcorn and movie on the DVD player inside the tent that he really enjoys. They had a great time and Pierce even informed me that they saw a planet, but sadly, no spaceships. Asher can't wait to join them next summer!

Welcome Baby Nephew Colin!

My nephew, Colin Richard Briggs has finally arrived! He was born 7-24-09 at 4:06 pm at 7lb 15 oz and 21.25 inches long. Isn't he just the cutest thing? We are excited to have Colin join the family and I can't wait to meet him in August.
